Lure Coursing 2006

In the Open stakes, Maya (Lonnkyle Peregrine Brynmair) who bested the field with a big lead to win the Nesbitt Trophy for first in Open Stakes. She was also the winner of the first time entered award.

Second place was won by Limerick Hannah Silverwolf. She also won the Highest Scoring Conformation Champion award.

Caraglen Shellane Hijacked, JC aka Jack, owned by Maria Lubera was a solid third place finisher in the Open Stakes.

Fourth place went to Slaine Syncopated Rhythm, owned by Chris Krowsack, and this was Cinco’s first time out at a regular trial.

The NBQ winner was Cnoccarne Glengaellenagh, owned by Jim & Sally Brabury and Emma Ross.

The winner of the Turtle Award (the dog with the lowest qualifying score) was the last place finisher, Neenagh, who is Cnoccarne Clooneenagh, owned by Emma Ross.

In the Field Champion Stakes, the winner was Cnoccarne Gemmagh, F. Ch, owned by Sally Bradbury and known as Gemmagh.

Right behind her was Ch. Knocknarea Venoble of Cnoccarne. F.Ch., owned by Emma Ross.

And in third place was Rayne, Laislinn Starkeeper Rayne, F.Ch.

The Best of Breed runoff was an exciting one, with both girls putting in phenomenal courses! In the end it was Maya who came away with the Breed ribbon, and was awarded the Starkeeper Memorial trophy.

The Starkeeper entry, of Rayne and Zada, won the Breeder and Kennel stakes.

In the unofficial classes, we had 8 starters in the puppy sweepstakes run and ended with 5 finishers. In the 12 to 18 months class, Karen Frederick’s Emmy (Blackwitch Bacardi at Brynmair) was the winner.

In the 6 to9 months category Starkeeper Glenamadda Victoria, owned by Jocelyne Gagné and Susan Prokopenko was first… but she was challenged strongly by John Fitzgerald’s young Brae ( Kellamore Braemor of Fitzwick) who was also running in the 6 to 9 months category. The overall winner of the Arahu trophy, offered by Sid Wood and Celeste Kindree for Best Puppy in Sweepstakes Run, was won by Vicky.
